Aging robber Jack McCallister pulls off a big heist and hides the loot before taking a bullet. As he lies dying, he's visited by his sons, George and Michael, who have been estranged from their father -- and one another -- for years. Just before Jack dies, he manages to whisper a clue to each brother regarding the whereabouts of his stolen money. They begrudgingly join forces to find the cash, but some of Jack's unsavory pals (including corrupt detectives Roy and Ted and mobster Earl) are also on the hunt for the money.
