Metropolis 1939, this Delaware city of the ever-evolving future gained its protector, Superman, a year ago and since then, the big blue Boy Scout has dedicated himself to protecting the innocent and finding more efficient ways to do so. The odds are quickly turned against him when Lex Luthor begins his campaign for mayor and a new robotic foe with a Kryptonite heart has crawled out from the woodwork. With these new obstacles, Superman must protect his friends as Clark Kent and fight alongside a quartet of enigmatic visitors from the 31st century who enter his life.
