Fan Casting Fred Chyre in Greg Berlanti's The Flash

Fred Chyre is Barry's gruff, world-weary boss at the CCPD, a veteran cop who's seen too much and trusts too little. Though perpetually exasperated by Barry's obsessive crusades, Chyre is the closest thing Barry has to a father figure. He's the man who took Barry in after his mother's murder and the first person to believe in him. His brutal, public death at Cold's hands becomes the rallying cry that pushes Barry to become the hero Central City needs.
