Beware my power
Test pilot Hal Jordan Was asked to search a crash landing of an unknown ship close to the camp he worked at so Hal did as he was asked. At the crash site he encountered a dying alien that gave him what he called a power ring, when Hal put it on he was met with a series of words that he had to repeat, it was an oath and when he finished he flew up to space reserving the title of Green Lantern.
