Test pilot Hal Jordan was chosen by Abin Sur as member of Green Lanterns Corps, corps of intergalactic police. Few years later, he is respected member of Green Lantern Corps, and he have to be a mentor for new chosen Green Lantern from Earth, John Stewart. As cocky pilot now must befriend with stoic mariner, Hal's former mentor Sinestro, who betrayed the Green Lanterns in favor of Yellow Lanterns many years ago in fear of Hal suppressing him, now continues his crusade against Green Lantern and now eyeing the young John.
