Malhedron was a general of Highfather's army, a powerful New God who was very loyal to Highfather. He indicates that he and his team, The Wheel, used to serve in Darkseid's army, until they defected to Highfather's army. However Malhedron eventually leaves Highfather's army, as he believes Highfather is becoming a tyrant akin to Darkseid. Malhedron is introduced as a general in Highfather's army. At an assembly of the Council of Eight, he was raked by Highfather with stealing the Red Lantern Ring from a female human Red Lantern, and he managed to succeed in doing so. [1] He and The Wheel are tasked with retrieving rings from the emotional spectrum.
