He was one of those who conceived the creation of the Green Lantern Corps, as he was the one who suggested that beings with willpower and emotions under control patrol space, shortly after the failure of the Manhunters and Hallas projects. After Parallax destroyed the Central Power Battery on Oa through Hal Jordan, all the Guardians of the Universe died in the process, but Ganthet pretended to be dead so as not to be located by Parallax.
