kccasting Hades IS NOT the villain of this show. He is the youngest of the three main brothers who was tricked by his two older brothers into taking control of the underworld after defeating Kronos. The years in the underworld would have turned Hades into a battered and mature individual, one whom could realistically take on his brothers. Bale is perfect for this as he would effortlessly walk the complicated line between sympathetic and sinister. He will also end up becoming the hero of this story, defeating Ares in the final episode and we know that Bale can pull off the complicated protagonist as well as someone that flirts with antagonism.
