Bruce Wayne has been expertly framed for murder of his former lover,Vesper Fairchild. He and his bodyguard Sasha Bordeaux are arrested and held without bail in prison. His new Robin, Tim Drake, Nightwing and Oracle decide to investigate in parallel to prove his innocence. With all evidence missing or framed against Bruce Wayne, his former allies except Nightwing begin to suspect that he must've done it to protect his dual identity out of desperation. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne breaks out of prison to leave behind his civilian identity and dedicate himself completely to being Batman, putting his allies investigation at jeopardy.
