Story Plot

Set against the backdrop of 1995, Gone Home explores themes of family, identity, and self-discovery. The film begins with Katie Greenbriar’s return to her family's new home in Oregon after spending a year abroad. Upon arrival, Katie finds the house eerily silent, deserted, and half-unpacked. A note from her sister, Sam, urges Katie not to dig into what happened. Katie’s search for her family leads to a deeper, emotional journey of uncovering hidden secrets and confronting the true meaning of home.
