In 1954, a creature named Godzilla attacked Tokyo, causing destruction and terror, until a mysterious young scientist destroyed him with an experimental weapon. Everything was peaceful, until another Godzilla came along. Years later, the current Godzilla continues to plague Tokyo. Meanwhile, supernatural events occur, starting with an entire city being attacked by a giant rotting behemoth, and an army of ghosts. It is Ghost Godzilla, the original Godzilla that attack Tokyo back in 1954, and is back to finish what he started, and to challenge the current Godzilla. It's up to Godzilla, a young scientist who dedicated his life to studying Godzilla, his girlfriend and a cynical Godzilla-hating general to put a stop to the kaiju phantom.
