Story Plot

After the glorious hours of the early years, grief and pain began to cover the heart of Mary Tudor, daughter of Henry VIII and his first wife Katherine of Aragon. She wanted his reign to be glorious, under the sign of the restoration of Catholicism and the destruction of heresy. She had seen herself as a Catholic queen, a beloved wife and an adored mother. She was a Catholic. Unhappy wife she became, because of her husband’s long absences, King Philip II of Spain. Mother, she will never become. After two nervous pregnancies, Mary I of England had lost all hope of being a mother and becoming happy. Unable to experience the happiness of motherhood, she worked to re-establish Catholicism in her kingdom. Blood flowed. The flames devastated the bodies. Smoke filled the streets of the cities. Bloody Mary caused death everywhere, revolting his detractors and all the reformed of the kingdom. A certain Thomas Wyatt tried to fight the queen, but his revolt fell into nothingness. Mary emerged even more glorified, but not for long. Repression was bloody for her enemies. Jane Grey, the nine-day queen, was executed. Others followed, others perished in those long years of terror.
