Description of Maggie Kizer:

Maggie’s sister in law, a well-educated and attractive courtesan. She is hiding her mixed race heritage from most of society, and passes for white. She wears round amber-colored glasses to prevent anyone from seeing that one of her eyes is flecked with black, a sign of mixed blood. She married Lena’s brother Aleksander, and became a prostitute after he went to prison. She is also heavily addicted to opium. When Aleks escapes prison and finds her with one of her clients, he stabs the man in the heart. This client was a famous lawyer, leading Judge Stallworth to begin his war on The Triangle, shuttering shops and making arrests. Maggie is hanged for being an accessory to murder. Age 35-40
