Description of Lena Shanks (‘Black Lena’):

The criminal queen of the Black Triangle’s underbelly. A fence by profession, buying and selling stolen goods. She came from Germany at age 14, fell in love, and immediately honed her criminal skills with her husband Cornelius. After Judge Stallworth condemns her husband and her sister-in-law both to be hanged (several years apart), and the murder of Daisy, she sets into motion a bloody and ferocious plot of revenge with all of her female criminal cohorts. She is a large woman, and called ‘Black Lena’ for her wardrobe - only wearing black. Aged 60-72
