Joe Itami is a 34-year-old prior enlisted 1st Lieutenant (Infantry Officer and former enlisted Green Beret Special Forces soldier) posted with the 4th Infantry Division in Fort Carson, Colorado. While going to an anime convention in downtown Denver, he witnesses a warp from which fantasy creatures emerged to cause havoc throughout Colorado.
