in the wake of the stranglehold the look who's talking series has on the global box office, hollywood produces a big budget, a-list adaptation of the classic comic. the rights are acquired by universal pictures which cancels production of its big budget adaptation of jurassic park after studio executives determine that dinosaurs are an untested property but interest in garfield has been consistently high since the strip debuted in the 1970s. all budget and assets are transferred to the garfield production and the entire cast, who were locked into expensive contracts for the production, are given an opportunity to accept roles in the garfie...read more
