Description of Reiji Hirano:
The main antagonist of the movie: once a prodigious, bright archaeologist, who, after a dig somewhere in the South Pacific, mysteriously disappeared leaving only a cryptic message. He appears again before Suguru Aoba in the latter's search for him several times, now sporting a more unstable disposition and leaving a trail of havoc and destruction. He seeks the ancient civilization's powers through Hana Itsuki for a nefarious plan, one that necessitated Gamera awakening to stop him.....
