Synopsis

The Frederick Douglass Story depicts the life of Frederick Douglass, a former slave turned prominent abolitionist. Escaping slavery, he marries Anna Murray, and together, they advocate for civil rights and fight against slavery through the Underground Railroad. Frederick's encounters with influential figures like William Lloyd Garrison and President Abraham Lincoln shape his activism. During the Civil War, he encourages African Americans to join the Union Army and advises John Brown in his Harpers Ferry raid. Despite personal struggles and societal opposition, Frederick remains resolute in his pursuit of justice.
