Synopsis

Many centuries ago, in a corner of the universe known as The Fourth World, the ancient gods destroyed themselves in a Ragnarok and their planet was split in two, giving rise to a new race of gods, the peaceful inhabitants of New Genesis, a planet led by Highfather, and the inhabitants of Apokolips, a planet ruled with an iron fist by the tyrant Darkseid. Upon learning that the evil forces of Apokolips are planning something bad on Earth, Highfather sends his forces of good there, led by the heroic (but conflicted) Orion.

One of the ancient gods, he was overthrown from Olympus and allied himself with Darkseid. He had previously appeared as the main villain in the Wonder Woman movie, where his fall from Olympus had already been mentioned.
