Synopsis

Following the events of The Batman, Gotham is still reeling from the devastation of the flood. In the wake of the crisis, billionaire industrialist Ferris Boyle, CEO of GothCorp, steps into the spotlight, promising to lead the city's recovery with a revolutionary new cryonic technology. But behind his philanthropy lies a ruthless ambition to consolidate power, exploiting Gotham’s weakened infrastructure for his own gain, Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne—still haunted by his confrontation with the Riddler—continues to expand his crusade against crime. As he patrols the city, he crosses paths with a young street orphan, Dick Grayson, whose family was tragically lost in the flood. Seeing echoes of his own past in the boy, Bruce reluctantly takes him under his wing. As Gotham plunges into another long, brutal winter, Boyle’s experiments take a horrifying turn. His lead scientist, Victor Fries, is betrayed and left for dead in an accident that turns him into the vengeful Mr. Freeze. Consumed by grief over his dying wife, Nora, and driven by revenge against Boyle, Freeze’s methods become ever more ruthless—threatening to encase Gotham in ice. Batman must navigate this frozen battleground, confronting Boyle’s corruption, Freeze’s wrath, and his own struggles with fatherhood as he begins training Grayson. As tensions reach a breaking point, the Bat and his newly forged partner—Robin—must work together to stop Gotham from falling into an eternal winter.

Description of Robin (Dick Grayson):

Dick Grayson isn’t a circus performer in this version—his family was caught in the Gotham flood, killed due to government negligence and corporate greed (possibly tied to Ferris Boyle’s shady relief efforts). Left orphaned and struggling to survive in the city’s post-disaster ruins, he becomes street-smart, developing athletic skills, resourcefulness, and an independent nature—traits that make him an ideal fit for Batman’s mission. Bruce sees himself in Dick, but he struggles with the idea of mentorship—he doesn’t want a sidekick, but Gotham’s next protector.
