Emerson is a 12-year-old boy who can float, just not well, and is classified as a RISK (Reoccurring Incidents of the Strange Kind) kid. He's also afraid of heights, which complicates his RISK factor even more. In the summer he gets sent away to Camp Outlier, a government-mandated camp. He gets sorted into the Red Maple Cabin with Murphy: a time traveler, Hank: can be invisible, Anthony: lights on fire randomly, Zeke: on and off X-ray vision, Gary: gets stuck to things, and Eli, their counselor, who can change his appearance. Emerson soon finds out that Murphy might die this summer in one of his time traveling mishaps.read more
