Then, Barry meets Eobard—now the head of forensics. Eobard is this world’s Flash. Barry is nothing. Desperate, Barry travels to Gotham. He finds Wayne Manor and pleads with Thomas Wayne—this timeline’s Batman. Thomas is cold, but Barry gets through. They recreate Barry’s lightning strike. The first try fails. The second reignites the Speed Force. Barry races to S.T.A.R. Labs—but the Treadmill is broken. Eobard arrives, chasing him through the city. Barry unlocks new speed, remembering his friends, his losses, his victories. They reach the moment of his mother’s murder. Barry stops himself from saving her. Time resets. He wakes in his apartment. A missed call from Iris. One from Wally. He smiles, tearfully. Elsewhere, at the end of time, Eobard Thawne stares into the void, waiting.
