The original story of the game

William Afton and Henry Emily opened Fredbear's Family Diner in the early 70s, which later became a chain known as Freddy Fazbear's Pizza under Fazbear Entertainment, Inc. They eventually left the company, and an unknown individual took over as CEO. William, secretly a serial killer, used mascot costumes to abduct and murder children. His motives are speculated to involve achieving immortality through paranormal research and haunted metal, or "remnant," created by the murders. His first victim was Henry's daughter, Charlotte Emily, who became the Marionette, a ghost aiding other lost souls.
