Da-rim is a young parking agent in the South Korean film "Christmas in August." She meets Jung-won, a photo shop owner, when she needs pictures printed quickly as evidence to use against parking offenders. As they interact more frequently, they develop feelings for each other. However, Jung-won is diagnosed with a terminal illness and decides to break off all contact with Da-rim to spare her the pain of his impending death. Da-rim is left heartbroken and confused by his sudden disappearance.
