Welcome to a world where humans are fairy tales... Until now.
Deep within Australia lies a mystical rainforest called Ferngully where it is maintained by elves and tree sprites. Among these, is the rebellious Crysta who, upon seeing a smoke cloud, believes Ferngully's ancient enemy, Hexxus, has broke free of his imprisonment. Hoping to investigate, Crysta sets off with a brain-addled Flying Fox named Batty and comes across a young man named Zak. However, when a human lumber company unleashes the evil Hexxus, Crysta and her fellow sprites must band together in order for Ferngully, and possibly the world, from the wrath of the vengeful spirit.
