It's summertime in Shadyside 1965 and the town has never been brighter as local Shadysider high school student Ruby Lane (Hailee Seinfeld) her rich boyfriend Justin Joseph (Zac Efron) and her friends attend at a party one night Ruby sees boyfriend with another girl, once a fun party turns into a bloodbath fit full for survival.
