The Fantastic Four—Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing—are already known as a brilliant family of scientific adventurers and one of the most famous superhero teams in the world. Based in the Baxter Building, they split their time between protecting New York, pushing the boundaries of research, exploring strange new dimensions, and solving mysteries beyond conventional science. Their latest mission takes them far beneath the Earth’s surface, where they uncover signs of a vast underground civilization hidden for centuries. This discovery puts them at odds with its ruler, Harvey Elder/Mole Man, a genius but reclusive scientist who believes the surface world has exploited those below. When Mole Man launches an attack on New York with his army of Moloids, massive subterranean beasts, and ancient war machines, chaos erupts. Reed is captivated by the scientific wonders of this hidden realm, Sue sees the looming humanitarian crisis, Johnny relishes the thrill of the adventure, and Ben begins to wonder if Mole Man is truly the villain he seems. From the Baxter Building to the deepest parts of Subterranea, the team must stop Mole Man from igniting a disastrous war between the surface and underground worlds, proving that being “the world’s greatest heroes” is about more than just defeating the bad guy.
