Brilliant but restless, Reed Richards becomes consumed by the idea of perfecting time travel, believing it could prevent countless tragedies. Desperate for the resources to finish his work, Reed turns to his old rival, Victor Von Doom. Doom agrees to help — but secretly uses Reed’s device to tear open a rift to the multiverse. From the breach emerges The Maker, an alternate-universe Reed twisted by power and devoid of conscience.
