Based on the author's own series known as the Tales of the Falklock Northern Railway which is inspired by the Railway Series and its television version of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends, we get a Parks & Recreation/The Office look at life for all the engines of the railways keeping the Scottish island of Falklock running. Description of Sophie the Hall Goods Engine (FKNR #333):

Sophie is generally well-behaved and friendly, but is sometimes arrogant. Sophie is at heart, a very hard worker, but some frequent bouts of illness can hinder her work. Out of all the engines, Sophie has a kinder personality. She is a nature-lover to the point of being a tree-hugging engine. Of the big engines, Sophie is most likely to respect engines such as Victoria, Katie, Gwyneth and Gloria. She does not often antagonize her friends like Taylor and Quinn at times do and shows remorse for such. These traits make her level-headed, being the big trio's voice of reason which Taylor and Quinn chafe at and try to rope her into crazier antics.
