The slashers are a kind of monsters who aparently kill and butcher innocent victims without a reason. Cassie Hack and his partner Vlad dedicate his life to hunt and end this creatures. I think a movie could fit this story without problem, although, maybe it would be more convinient to make it a tv show like Ash vs Evil Dead did. The movie, or the first season of the show, would introduce Cassie and Vlad and tell the events happened in the first volume of the series. Description of Vlad:

Abandoned as a baby for his deformity and raised by a east-european butcher who speaked broken english, Vlad's first encounter with his partner Cassie was a fight due to her mistaking him as a slasher. Vlad is your typical "gentle giant", with a childish and nice personallity but brave and brutal when facing danger. As the team's muscle, he's overprotective with Cassie and furthermore with who he considers his friend.
