ringothedrummer Fun fact: Marlon Brando was originally supposed to play the role of Dr. Montgomery Grant. But on the first day of shooting, Marlon showed up, heavily overweight. In the end, Marlon had to be recasted.

nathanbates @batsonjacksont Brando made many strange suggestions for his character when he was still cast, such as playing him as a blind albino, speaking with a Spanish accent and wanting to be killed off by being stomped on by a wooly mammoth. An animatronic mammoth was built in anticipation but ultimately never used.
