The Inheritance Cycle
Eragon, a poor farm boy from the village Carvahall, finds a strange blue stone in the forest one day while hunting. After the stone turns out to be an egg that hatches a small blue dragon, an irrevocable bond is formed between Eragon and the hatchling, whom he names Saphira. (Saphira has human level intelligence and understands and can speak languages.) Together they are thrust into a unique and brilliant storyline that will satisfy any lover of fantasy.
