Story Plot

Jello is not going to animate another season of Epithet Erased. He is, however, making a series of books, which some other party might be interested in acquiring the rights to an adaption of. A live action series, with cheap CGI and some practical effects would be cheaper to produce than an animated work, and Canadian broadcasting laws mandate that a minimum of 55% of a the material on television be produced in Canada. This, combined with the clear educational potential in series set in a world with word-based super powers ("Epithets") that are dependent on their holders' understanding of the word, including all definitions if the word is a total homonym, makes it an ideal setting for a show intended to teach vocabulary. Epithet Erased is set in a world where two out of every five people is "Inscribed" with an "Epithet", giving them powers related to an arbitrary word, and a number of urban fantasy tropes are present, such as "majokko" (the "mahou shoujo" or Japanese "magical girl" tradition), supervillains, and others. The series, while serving as a vehicle for educational content, is plot based, with individual arcs focusing on different characters and settings intended to explore different sociological, historical, and scientific concepts, circling back to usually deal with one of two things- "Molly Blyndeff", a girl with the Epithet "Dumb", and a mysterious artifact with the ability to steal Epithets.
