55 years after the original Encanto, Mirabel is now the new matriarch of the Madrigal Family, having to continue the legacy her Abuela left off. However, when it's discovered that the magic is fading again, the family finds out the cause seems to be linked to one of Mirabel's grandchildren: The secluded, sorrowful, yet highly imaginative José, who was given a gift, but was never able to figure out what it is. Thus, José and the family have to figure out what's going on to save the miracle.
