A remake of the classic Tim Burton story about an unfinished human-like creation with scissors for hands who is taken home one day by an Avon saleswoman. During his stay, he impresses the neighbors with his sheering skills and falls in love with the Boggs daughter Kim. But as his hands keep him from touching anything without harming it, can he find love and acceptance?
