Synopsis

Saya survived after half of her head got blown off by a gunshot from Fūma. However, her left eye was severely damaged due to being shot with a silver bullet (one of the main weaknesses of a Rasetsu), so she bandaged her left eye for the rest of the series. She decided took an indefinite rest and hide from public until it's the right time, with her father and Hachiro covering for her by confirming her death. Meanwhile, the man in black returns to cause chaos again, but this time, he brings a surprise. In the form of Saya's twin sister named after her late mother "Maya". Saya's childhood memories about her mother resurfaced as she and her father were faced with the harsh truth that Maya was actually Saya's unborn twin sister who died inside their mother's womb and reborn through cloning by the man in black. Turns out that Maya is only the beginning of a grand plan of turning all populations of Edo into a more dangerous breed of Rasetsu created from Maya's blood. Saya is struck with doubt and guilt whether or not she should kill Maya to end all of this or give in to her murderous self and become the demon that she always feared she would become.

Description of Maya Utahime (Main Antagonist / Saya's clone and twin sister):

An unborn twin sister of Saya. She died in her mother's womb, but the man in black successfully retrieves her blood sample via her mother's body, successfully create a clone of Saya as a result. She looks exactly like Saya, but has a paler skin and long hair and her eyes glows blue when she transforms into her Rasetsu form. She has a childlike personality with psychopathic streak of selfishness, which led her to become the younger one of the two, Saya Otozuki and Maya Utahime. Maya searches for Saya, desiring to have Saya eat her so they can become one pure-blood Rasetsu.

  • theonewithda_gun Unlike Saya, Maya's appearance changed when she goes Rasetsu Mode. Her hair color turns white, followed by her eyes glowing electric blue and she can also access the berserk form where her skin becomes paler and her fangs are more pronounced, furthermore with her nails turning into claws. Saya on the other hand, only have her eyes glow red, but her overall appearance is still the same as her normal state, unless when she go berserk where the sclera of her eyes turns black.
