Fan Casting Indigo in Earth-27 fancast (rewrite)

Brainiac-8 was a gynoid originally built to be a possible future body of Brainiac and then re-purposed earlier to analyze what he did wrong, his official "second opinion" as it were. The A.I. Indigo would later be transferred in the recently destroyed Brainiac-8's body and become a member of the Outsiders.
