marioandsonicftw Tom McGrath is undoubtedly best-known for co-directing Madagascar at DreamWorks, and with him serving as the director here, DreamWorks can provide the film with a more tropical vibe to it and pretty much the same artstyle as Madagascar, whilst still featuring what made the Donkey Kong franchise and characters iconic.
