Nothing foreshadowed the fateful day when a sudden blinding flash destroyed humanity, turning all people to stone. Several millennia have passed since that disaster, as a high school student Taiju Oki awoke from his eternal stone sleep to find only lifeless statues around him. However, in this new world, he is not alone at all, as one might think. A few months ago, his friend Senku Ishigami, a passionate lover of science, also came to his senses. Senku is not just not lost, he survived, and he has already conceived a grand plan — he wants to give a boost to civilization with the power of science!
