The Transformation Beam (へんしんビーム Henshin bīmu) is one of Doraemon's gadgets first debuted in Doraemon: Nobita's Sky Utopia. In terms of appearance, Transformation Beam is a relatively colorful gadget that appears primarily in a yellow-magenta color scheme and consists of a giant cyan bulb surrounded by a yellowish light head circling around it and a yellowish grip that includes the triggers. The Transformation Beam is a relatively old gadget. This gadget can transform the target into any animal (such as a dog, duck, fish, etc.) or insect (such as a bug, beetle, etc.) simply via a beam of light. Select any animal or insect on the light by rotating the rectangular switch at the end of the gadget, then pull the egg-like button eastward and pull the trigger to release a beam of light to transform. Apparently, it is irreversible and requires another gadget to revert back to normal. In combat, it is used to turn enemies into a dragonfly or other harmless animal and insect, negating their powers and abilities.
