Synopsis

The American version of Doctor Who started in 1963. It ran on CBS until 1989 before being picked up by FOX in the 90's and then HBO in the 2000's. Much like the actual Doctor Who series, the doctor is a revolving role that changes with each era. The doctor travels in a 1960's US metal and glass telephone booth that can travel through space and time. The telephone booth appears empty from the outside and the door is locked. However, when the doors are open the actual interior of the Doctor's TARDIS is revealed. It is truly bigger on the inside.

Description of Sarah Jane Smith (4th Companion):

Sarah Jane is the closest of all of the doctors companions. However, he does get close to a number of them. But this was a special relationship. CBS even moved the show into a prime time slot. Along with Sarah Jane came a big robotic dog named K9.

  • brandonsiddall Gilda and Gene's relationship would have been amazing to see play out on this show. It would have been playing on CBS in a prime time slot running all the way into 1982. Gene & Gilda.
