Description of Tom Ludlow Hallaway (The Spider of 1838):

During the ritual ceremony to banish Swift poor Tom Ludlow was sucked into the shadow realm and forced to do battle with The Shade for eternity. But when the two are released thanks to the chaos of Eclipso and Klarion they immediately begin preparing to finish their fight for the last time.
