Space adventurer Buzz Lightyear (Chris Evens) loses his partner during a mission and resolves to never jeopardize another person's life again. But Buzz's commander, Nebula (Chris Cooper), finds him a replacement anyway: Princess Mira Nova (Margot Robbie). Meanwhile, Buzz's nemesis, nefarious Emperor Zurg (Robert Englund), plots to steal the Uni-mind, a valuable device that facilitates the little green men's collective thought process; without it, the whole race is useless, but Buzz needs all the help he could get with help from Mira, Booster hulking Jo-Adian Munchapper (Dwayne Johnson) the very intelligent robotic Xperimental Ranger or XR (Jay Baruchel) and now it's up them to stop Zurg and save the galaxy.
