Tess Romero (born March 18, 2006) is an American actress from Brooklyn, New York, with a background in musical theater and television. She began performing at age five in a production of Annie and subsequently secured early guest roles on the NBC series Blindspot and Comedy Central's Alternatino. A breakthrough occurred in 2020 when she was cast in the leading role of Elena Cañero-Reed in the Disney+ series Diary of a Future President, a part she secured after nearly 200 auditions. She reached a notable career milestone by starring in the series for two seasons, earning recognition for her portrayal of a young girl navigating middle school on her path to the presidency. Her filmography also includes the 2019 feature film Anya and the series Such Is Life.
