  • It's a shame it will never be, especially since Bruce Willis is now retired. I would propose to go with what I love to call the Wakanda Forever method (stemming from Black Panther Wakanda Forever), where we kill off a main protagonist offscreen and have the rest of the movie hinge on the side characters' processing their grief. Without old Bruce at the helm, which means killing off John McClane for good, I would rather the franchise be laid on having McClane's closest allies take up the role of protagonist in the wake of his potential death than having to recast him with AI. It's the least he deserves as a hero who just wants to be normal..
