A repair crew is sent out in space to discover why the USG Ishimura a well known planet cracker space ship has gone dark one of the repair crew an engineer named Isaac Clarke has a personal reason cause of his fiancée Nicole Brennan who works in the Ishimura . However once contact is made Isaac discovers that the crew has been tranformed into monsters chasing Isaac as he tries to venture the ship find out what has happened ,find Nicole but as he does he starts to realise that something is digging to his mind using his past demons to torment him
