Description of Janet Gillis (The Teacher):

Sheriff Dan’s wife. Dark haired, a girl next door with almond eyes. A middle school teacher. She enjoys telling the children ghost stories. She loves her husband, and she’s a terrible cook. As all the other townsfolk, she is a reanimated corpse, who exists under the control of Dobbs, who maintains an old-fashioned town through this science. Her original identity is unknown prior to becoming ‘Janet’, but she was found locked inside her car underwater after a flood - a traveler who was swept off the road. Dobbs considers her his best work. She simmers with rage when alone. When Dan shoots her to see if she is undead, she finds clarity, and begs Dan to bury her so she had peace. Aged 30-40
