Description of Santiago Vargas (El Gaucho):
Argentine vigilante and member of Batman Incorporated who first appeared in Detective Comics #215 (January 1955). He is an expert hand-to-hand fighter and his most common weapon are the boleadoras, a type of throwing weapon made of weights on the ends of interconnected cords that were most famously used by the gauchos (South American cowboys).
