Cassie Palmer's father was the Atomic Ant from a parallel universe. She learned that she could shrink through her father's exposure to radiation from white dwarf stars, and she decided to follow in his footsteps. Cassie created a suit with cybernetic wings using her father's technology and took on the identity of the Damselfly to carry on his research. Damselfly is a cross between Stinger and Doll Girl.
