I think putting Manchester Black in more horror and supernatural stories than using him as 'The Billy Butcher clone' in DC is my exact choice for this lad. Manchu (as his nickname for this movie) is basically a Meta-hating punk head from Manchester who now resides in London - similar with John right now. He's stop bugging Clark at that point since he's facing him several times before the Man of Tomorrow story, but he got dragged by an entity that would be put him into a horror situation.
